Freshwater AK pearls !!
I just cant say enough about these pearls....
AK pearls are a relatively new introduction (3yrs) to the pearl world. They are freshwater nucleated pearls grown in a controlled environment in China and are comparable in quality to Japanese saltwater Akoya pearls, however they are more durable than Akoya due to a thicker nacre. AK pearls have an exceptional lustre.
These pearls are considered heirloom grade due to their durability.
These pearls are pefectly round and are in natural shades of mauves and peach, wire wrapped on 14k gold filled rolo chain in this simple yet stunning Y style necklace.
There are 3 pearls on either side of the necklace which has a figure 8 connector front & centre. 2 additional pearls are suspended from the connector.
The necklace is finished with a 6mm spring ring clasp and a very secure figure 8 connector.
Necklace length is 18 3/4 with pearl drop of 1 7/8".
